Offshore conference a success
European Policy Workshop on Offshore Wind Power Deployment

As part of the Swedish Presidency of the European Union, the Swedish Ministry of Enterprise, Energy & Communications organised the European Policy Workshop on Offshore Wind Power Deployment. The event brought together policy makers, regulators, industry representatives and members of the scientific community from 13 countries, as well as from the European Commission. This was the fourth workshop, building on the work of meetings in Egmond (2004), Copenhagen (2005) and Berlin (2007).
The aim of the workshop was to improve the institutional conditions for the development of offshore wind power.
A number of recommendations were produced by the workshop, and are contained in the Stockholm Declaration, available for download here (PDF - 400KB).
